A south African living and working out of Dublin Ireland, Richard has recently begun flying solo after a couple of years as one half of directing-duo Nice People, through their production company in Cape Town - Nice People Rewind.
From the start their work created a stir in both the South African and Irish markets ans has already picked up Shark Awards in Ireland, Vuka Awards in South Africa and been featured one shots.
Richard's many years as an award winning agency creative in a wide variety of markets around the world; South Africa, London, Paris, Dublin and Bangkok, developed his passion for the shortcommercial form and his deep understanding of the nuances needed in creating memorable and effective commercials.
Richard believes atmosphere to be the single most critical ingredient in creating any sucessful ad.
His srong visual sensibilities and abiliy to seamlessly meld in-camera and post techniques complement this belief and are clearly evident in his succinct story telling.
